Black Friday Evangelism and More!

For a second year Jarod and I headed over to the Westfield North County mall for some Black Friday evangelism at 3:30 a.m. and handed out Gospel tracts to those waiting in lines to get those deals from stores like Macy's and Sears. The two of us handed out about 500-600 tracts in as little as 40 minutes. But, boy, was it cold! My fingers got so cold I had trouble handing single tracts to folks. The shoppers received the tracts with much gladness as we smile, said "Merry Christmas," and handed them a Gospel tracts. The tracts we were using had a Christmas look to them but still contained the Law and the Gospel on the back. We even had a few folks come back and ask for another. When Jarod and I were thoroughly frozen we went inside the mall and did a loop, dropping tracts on chairs and tables that would soon be occupied.
Later on today my family and I are headed to a TSO (Trans-Siberian Orchestra) concert and I am hoping to hand out some more tracts there. Ought to be interesting :)
One of the things I love about the Christmas season is that it is soooo easy to give away tracts and engage folks in a spiritual conversation about their standing before God.
While I am posting today I just want to say thank you to all who are out there reading these seldom updated posts. I noticed this morning that the hit counter was past 12,000 and I am amazed. You might not thing that is a big number, but I am floored and humbled. Thanks to all. I will try to post more often and maybe something of quality will make it up here at some point :)
